Buy Worcester Now programs help potential homebuyers select a realtor to find their dream home,  a lender to create a package that suits their income and financial needs, a lawyer to guide them through the process, as well as retailers, service providers and others that make a new house a true home.

 

Buy Worcester Now loan programs are designed to help potential homebuyers select a lending package that suits their income and their needs through trusted and responsible lenders and credit unions. Buy Worcester Now loan programs and the many other loan programs offered by participating lenders can help buyers find a home of their choice at a price they can afford.

Downpayment Assistance Program Overview

  • May be provided to low to moderate income first-time homebuyers

  • May be applied to 1-4 family properties, including condos and townhouses

  • Program may provide up to $10,000 in order to cover 50% of lender required down payment, and all applicable closing costs and fees

  • May be combined with employer incentives and other grant programs

Required Documentation (with Initial Application)

  1. Prequalification letter for lending institution

  2. Copies of last three (3) years of signed Federal Tax Returns (W-2, 1099) for all household members above the age of 18

  3. Verification of Employment for all wage earners above the age of 18, including pay stubs for the most current six (6) months prior to application

  4. Saving and Asset documentation for all household members, including six (6) months of bank statements

    Prior to Close

  5. Purchase and Sales Agreement

  6. Home Inspection Verification

  7. First Mortgage Loan Application, signed by lending institution

  8. Good Faith Estimate of Settlement Charges

  9. Truth in Lending Disclosure Statement

  10. Lead Paint Disclosure Statement

  11. Verification of Marital Divorce (if applicable)
